So this is the loaner they gave us.

Why??

Would a Fusion or Focus be too much to ask, not a van? At least it’s a loaded Titanium with a big glass roof.

Unrelated as far as I know, that effected the previous gen model. Ours is a 2014 that just reeks of gas in the garage.

Probably a unit they ordered by mistake, or had a customer order then cancel on, so they put it into loaner duty.

That way they can put some miles on it, Ford gets a sale, and the dealer can sell it as a certified pre-owned in a few months/miles.

They are missing the sales game that is loaner cars.

If someone comes in in a bare-bones Focus, if you like them, give them a Fusion, if you don’t shame them with a loaded Focus (because really all of your loaners should be loaded.)

Same for the Fusion, give them a Taurus SEL or Edge or a hyper-loaded Fusion.

The idea is to upsell.

Plus when they come out of loaner status, you can sell them at a healthy discount, so the loaded one’s make sense as you can usually keep the sale-price up and therefore higher profits.

No argument there. I just love the idea of a small-footprint vehicle with that much utility. I don’t even have a good reason to have one, like a litter of kids or a business to operate out of it...I just love the idea.

It was ungodly slow, uncomfortable, and ugly lol

seats sucked. Harsh ride.

I love those. They're not 'fun' but they're the best utility haulers out there for most people. If they were just slightly longer so you could get 4x8 sheets in there I'd own one today.

I have a friend with a Transit Connect in that color. It’s the weirdest color/car combo I think I’ve seen. He’s had it for months and it still seems to clash with itself.

I like those. Its high on the list to replace my wife’s Mazda 5 when its time it up. They have crazy amounts of room in them and should still get decent mileage.

Exactly. I had an MB loaner a few months ago that was loaded with the lighting package, upgraded speaker package, driver assist package, panoramic roof etc. The person giving me the loaner told me “Oh yeah we load them up to get you interested in upgrading”. Made perfect sense and it worked lol.
